Brixham Laboratories, located in Devon in the South West of England has provided environmental support since 1948. Originally established as a field station to explore the environmental impact of anti-fouling paints, the Laboratory has become a leading industrial environmental science facility with a world wide reputation. .
BEL is well able to understand and react to the environmental concerns of industry, regulatory and wider communities and is a valued contributing partner and respected voice world-wide. The Laboratory is currently undertaking work for major chemical companies, as well as for national and international government departments and agencies with projects in China, India, the USA and Europe.
 
 

The Laboratory provides a comprehensive multi-disciplinary approach to the investigation and resolution of environmental issues. Extensive laboratory facilities investigate the fate and effects of products and wastes in the environment. These services are backed up with project and information management experience and state-of-the-science environmental modelling capability.

Quality is assured by operating all its studies to the principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), inspected by the UK GLP Monitoring Authority.
